WHAT WE DO

We prepare you to take the IELTS tests. In the process of helping her candidates achieve the band score required by the absorbing body, IELS provides her future IELTS Test Takers ample Specimen Material to give them an idea of what the test is like. Many candidates come to IELS after having a scheduled test date and thus are challenged with time constraints to meet deadlines. In such instances, IELS’ readily available Specimen Material provides the opportunity to test themselves to see whether their English is the level required. There is yet another group of candidates who come to IELS after having faced the IELTS but not having reached the standard of English needed to be accepted at the institution of their choice.

The Specimen Material used by the IELS is approved by the British Council, the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, and the IDP Education Australia.

WHAT IS IELTS?

IELTS, International English Language Testing System is a test formulated to assess the level of competency in English in candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. I IELTS is graded on a scale of 1-9.

IELTS is managed by the University of Cambridge, ESO Examinations, British Council, and IDP (IELTS Australia).

IELTS Test is of two types, the ACADEMIC and GENERAL TRAINING. The test is designed to test a candidate’s mastery of language in the four skills, Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. While Listening and Speaking components are common for all candidates, depending on whether the candidate has selected ACADEMIC or GENERAL TRAINING, the Reading and the Writing components vary.

IELTS is accepted by universities, employers, institutions, schools, and immigration bodies around the world including countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK.

IELTS is the most popular test for those looking to migrate to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK.

IELTS candidates should be at least 17 years of age. Candidates are not allowed to repeat the test within ninety days at any centre.

WHERE IS IELTS TESTED ?

IELTS Tests are administered at centres throughout the world at a pace of at least once a month. Results are made available within a course of two weeks of the test. The candidates will receive only one copy of their test results on request.  Additional copies are sent to receiving institutions.
